Hi Lala,
I totally agree. As an actual diet, this is not the answer. It's better to eat a balanced diet, and incorporate exercise so you burn more calories than you eat. That will help melt away the unwanted pounds.
-- Contributed by: Donna Sundbladumm, this diet plan is unrealistic. in reality, you need to eat every two hours, stick to veggies, fruit, lean meats and tons of water. run, walk, dance 3 times a week.

That will depend on your current size, and how much your exercise. It could happen in as little as two weeks, but realistically it will take longer.

You may want to use your search engine to look for low carb vegetarian Indian recipes to get you started. Even searching for low-carb recipes will help give you ideas that you can tweak to make them work for you.

I'm proud of you for not just throwing your hands in the air and saying, mom can't exercise, she has asthma. The fact is that most asthmatics benefit from regular physical activity. The trick is to find what exercise works for each individual.
Even though an asthma attack may be brought on by aerobic exercise, it is still an option for many asthmatics. I suggest she check with her doctor to see what he recommends as a basic first step. Your mother's doctor may prescribe medications to help control her condition. If that's the case, she'll have to be sure to follow the instructions carefully including when to take the medication before exercising and how long the effects last. Over time, many asthmatics build up a tolerance for physical exertion. When this happens, it is less likely they will experience an attack during exercise.
Once your mom has received the okay from her doctor to exercise, these guidelines can help:
- Take extra time to warm up before exercising. It helps prepare the body for higher-intensity exercise.
- Exercise toward the lower end of target heart rate.
- Exercises such as walking or swimming are great for asthmatics because they are low intensity and may be done for longer periods of time.
- Listen to your body. Rest when needed.
- Strength-training exercises less likely to cause an asthma attack if you rest between sets.
- Avoid exercising in polluted environments
- Avoid exercising in cold
- Avoid exercising in dry air.
- Take time to cool down. An extended cool down can help prevent asthma attacks that immediately follow an exercise session.
- A warm bath or shower may also help.
Hi,
My mom and I are a little over weight and want to lose a few pounds, but my mom has asthma and can't work out very long or she passes out. What can we do to lose weight?
