Hi Tammie,

Are you doing the salt water flush in the morning and the diet tea at night? As for detox, for some people symptoms are minimal. If I don't wean off coffee before I start it I have a bad headache that lasts three days and actually makes me sick.

Hi Kandie,

That is unusual. Are you drinking 6-8 glasses a day plus water and then your tea in the evening?

I've tried it for two days now and I'm still hungry after I drink the diet. Is that normal?

Hi Violet,

I've done it for as little as seven days and for as long as 21 days. Depends on what you want to accomplish. Congratulations on making it to the 1/2 way point!

Ok so wow I am on day 7, to be honest never thought I would make it this far. I feel great. The only thing is that sometimes I get hungry but then I just brush my teeth so I wont want to eat.lol. I hope to go for 14 days so really this is exciting because this is my 1/2 way point. Thanks for the info Donna. By the way how many days do you do the cleanse for?

Hi Violet,

I have done this cleanse three times now, and it has worked every time. I've also learned that you can use grade A syrup, now. For more information read the interview with Peter Glickman.

I just started the diet today. The drink does not taste that bad. The only thing is that the syrup is kinda exspensive for the organic grade B one, but if it will work then it is worth it to me. I also went to the gym today for an hour. I hope that I lose the weight.

Hi Shay,

It is not unusual. When my daughter and I did this together the first time, she did not lose until day 4. In the end, she lost more than I did. I'll be doing it again starting Monday. I call it my spring cleaning. :)

Hi Dan,

You can replace the salt water flush with an additional laxative tea drink. You would drink it both in the morning and at night.

i don,t use salt at all. so what can be done for this...

Hi Tamara,

For me, day three was the hardest, but not that bad. You're on your way. You won't feel hungry, and your energy levels will surprise you! Let us know how it goes!

Hi Ms.Han,

Each ingredient plays a vital role. Cayenne pepper breaks up mucous and acts as a cleanser for the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems.

Must we really use the pepper in the diet?

Am just strating the diet today. The lemonade drink it self is not bad. I hope to lose 20 pound by the end of the month. Will check back after the fifth day. Later, Nina

Hi Dca,

A detox diet is really designed to make your body healthier by cleaning out the toxins. Losing weight is usually a side-effect result, and keeping it off is a real bonus. You're right though. Following a diet like this is very difficult, too difficult for many people. Eating healthy, well-balanced meals and exercising will reach the same result but not usually has fast but it's easier.

I tried this diet, or detox, I lost 37lbs. in 21 days, I did this last year, and have kept the weight off... It was very difficult to feel hungry, I was very irratable, and had many headaches, I'm glad I did it, because I did keep the weight off, but I wouldn't do it again!

Very wise assessment TK. Yes, this is intended as a cleanse; however many people feel that they need a "quick fix" to their weight problems and think that using this as a weight loss plan is a good idea. You are right to say that the best "remedy" is well balanced meals with exercise. Thank you for your comments.

I found the article to be very informative and truthful. I was actually shocked to see warnings and cautions throughout its contents. Many people are looking for a quick fix to a long term problem. This diet is only meant for cleansing and with rapid weightloss being a side effect. The weight will return just as fast as it is lost. The best remedy is to exercise and eat well balanced meals.
