You want eliminate alcohol as much as possible but for your birthday, one glass should be okay.
-- Contributed by: Donna Sundbladcan you have wine with gerds, friends want to give it to me for my birthday?
-- Contributed by: tnacgalHi Luty,
When the article says to avoid "hot spices such as chili powder, cayenne, hot pepper flakes" this will include curry if it is spicy. As for cilantro and basil, they just add flavor. You may want to try them individually and see whether or not they bother you.
As for cold drinks, you are supposed to avoid milk, soda, alcohol, tea, coffee, carbonated beverages...that doesn't leave much in the line of cold drinks I'm afraid.

Sorry to say, but cranberry juice should be avoided by those who suffer with GERD.
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladIs it ok to drink cranberry juice?
-- Contributed by: Laurel McCabeIt is my understanding that gatorade is ok in small amounts. Don't chug a whole bottle or you may experience problems. Your best bet is to ask your doctor.
