Hi Cyrus,

It also helps us to realize the importance of eating a varied diet with plenty of fruits and veggies!

All the fruits have their own value like Apple has a lot of iron, Peaches vitamins A and C. In the same way vegetables have their own value which help to burn the fat, and I like the idea of how you help everyone to know about foods and vegetables value.

Hi dhyane,

It is possible to lose weight without exercise by restricting calorie consumption, but it is not the best way for long term weight loss success. Our bodies are designed to move. Muscle burns more calories than fat, and exercise can help to build muscle. Plus, aerobic exercise helps to burn fat. Start out planning to go for a walk maybe three days a week and gradually work up to five. It's not only good physically, but give your time to think.

Hi there! Your article really helps a lot. I do want to loose some fat. I usually eat healthy foods but still, my weight goes up. The thing is, I'm lacking in exercise. Would it be possible just to have a weight loss diet without exercise? Thanks for you response and more power!

I like reading about healthy food which is not fatting. I was overweight and lost more than 15 kg. I always eat what my nutritionist set on my menu. Thank you for your input.

Yes, that old adage holds some solid wisdom.

Eating an apple a day is a good way to keep the fat away, and maintain a heathy diet.

Hi Juanita,

Deciding you want to lose weight is the first step to success. And now to find a plan that works for you. As you know, there are all kinds of diets out there and since many haven't worked for you, it might be a good idea to speak with a dietican or your family doctor for their suggestions. Your doctor can rule out whether or not a medical condition is the cause of your weight, and can offer you guidance based on your medical history.

The main thing you'll have to do is take in less calories than you burn. This doesn't mean eating too few calories which will slow your metabolism, but rather learning to make wiser choices that cut calories while adding exercise to your daily routine. Counting calories works for many people. You'll want to base your ideal calorie amount on your frame, height and age. Here are a few links to help you make your plans:
