Hi Mandy,

What to do about your belly after children will depend on your stomach. Everyone's is unique and some people's skin is not as elastic as others. In those cases, the stomach stretches during pregnancy and hangs following having the baby. No exercises can fix this. I know a woman who weighs 110 but the skin of her belly hangs to her lap. If that's the case, then plastic surgery is the only option I know of.

If that is not your situation, then you may want to try a diet like the Flat Belly Diet which is designed to target the belly.

I am 43 year old lady and had 3 children. I have belly which is destroying my self esteem. I walk, jog, run and do exercise but belly is not going away. People saw I have nice sexy legs, hips and a bottom to die for but the problem is my belly. I do not what to do since I have just started a new relationship. I do not want to go to the next level until I have gotten rid of my belly.

Hi Nash,

I hear your frustration. It sounds like your following all the conventional wisdom out there, and since that's not working, I suggest you check out the Flat Belly Diet. This diet is backed by Prevention Magazine and includes specific healthy fats with each meal. Chocolate is even allowed, so it sounds like it might just be what you are looking for.

I have tried really really hard to lose my tummy fat/tighten my tummy to no effect!! I am a very frustrated woman right now. I am 45 years old, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, do strength training (weights, machines)for 20-25 mins 4 days a week, I do aerobic exercises 2 times a week, I do cardio on elliptical machine 4 days a week do ab exercises. I have been doing this for over 2 year now, but see no difference on my tummy! I have limited my intake of pasta, rice, potatoes, bread for over a year now. I have a lots of protein e.g. fish, chicken, lean minced beef/veal, mostly baked or broiled. Instead of pasta and rice, I have lots of every kind of canned beans, lentils, green beans to fill me up. I also eat a lot of lettuce salads with low fat dressing. I dont really like vegetables very much, but I do try to incorporate broccoli and spinach as much as possible!! So why am I not losing weight or my tummy fat? I try to control my portions when I eat, but I feel hungry after a while if I dont eat enough. But I usually snack on cashew nuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, apples, other fruits when I feel hungry. I do love chocolate and have a piece after lunch and after dinner each day. I am not a fan of fast food and have very limited of this (maybe once a week). I take peppermint tea everyday for my break evern tried green tea!

Could you plse advise me ad to where I am going wrong. Could it be my age? Its very disappointing when one works so hard and does not see any results.

Thank you.

Nash
