Hi Flexx,
Thanks for sharing your recipe for an easy, healthy breakfast option. Blender recipes offer plenty of healthy on-the-run recipes for breakfast and all the meals.
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladI'll tell you what I do. In a blender, I add half cup of oatmeal, or high fiber cereal like Kashi, 1 scoop of protein powder, 2 tbsp flax seeds, add water, some coffee, you can add some of your favorite fruit, blend it up real good! It's the best breakfast you can eat, already predigested, healthy fats, fiber, oils, vitamins! Drink up! Who says you have no time to eat breakfast!? I do!
-- Contributed by: flexxHi Sam,
Experts conflict over whether or not we should eat breakfast, but a recent study shows that adolescents who skip breakfast have a higher risk of being overweight later in life. If you don't take in enough calories, your metabolism will slow down because it thinks you are in survival mode. Then when you do take in a normal about of calories, your metabolism is still slow and does not burn them efficiently and leads to weight gain. I suggest you have some fresh fruit on hand. It's easy and good for you.
-- Contributed by: Donna Sundbladhi, i have time to eat breakfast (im 18) but for the past week i guess i havent really thought about eating it since i stay at home until about 12-1 pm each day then go out. and when lunch and dinner time come around i havent been overeating; ive been eating about the same portions as i normally do. ive also been weighing my self not consistently but about every 2 or 3 days and my weight has stayed the same at about 160. also i dont feel unfocused or anything of that nature. some days i didnt eat until 4pm and i didnt feel hungry what so ever. i didnt like train myself to be this way but i guess in the beginning i couldnt find much breakfast at home so i didnt eat anything but now its been a consistent day to day thing. i dont know if i really have a question but i was wondering if you could comment on my situation Donna. thank you ; sam.

Eating healthy in general feeds your cells and eating a healthy breakfast promotes proper growth and maximizes school performance because it's usually easier for breakfast-eaters to meet daily nutritional needs.
