The first step to losing weight is to make a plan. Without a plan, the best intentions go out the window if you're hungry. A plan helps you to prepare for the day. You know what to eat and have it ready. Getting rid of foods in your pantry and refrigerator that tempt you is a good idea too. That way in a moment of weakness all you'll have to choose from are healthy choices.

I hear you loud and clear. You've actually taken the first step. You've made up your mind that you are ready to get rid of this extra weight. The next thing you have to do is decide how you'll do it. I recommend choosing a healthy diet that helps you learn to make lasting lifestyle changes, and not a fad. Fad diets can work, but most of the time the weight is gained back within a year.
