The BRAT diet is a traditional treatment for diarrhea and a way to keep food down so you get enough calories to help you get well.

BRAT diet usually follows a complete liquid diet. If there is any vomiting that occurs after beginning BRAT, discontinue and revisit liquid diet.

My initial thought was, why are you worrying about feeding a kid who is throwing up anyway? Liquids, I see--solid foods . . . why? Are most kids *really* going to be hurt by fasting for a day?
