Hi Tiffany,

Tea is allowed on this diet so that should work. I would suggest if you continue feeling this tired that you consider changing to a different diet. You may even want to talk with your doctor.

I am almost at my two weeks for this diet. I feel so tired and weak. I don't even want to work out any more! Some one told me to try green tea pills. Are these ok?

Hi Shonna,

Cottage cheese is not permitted during Induction. After that you can eat 3-4 ounces each day of the following full-fat, firm, soft and semi-soft aged cheeses:

  • Cheddar
  • Cow, sheep and goat cheese
  • Cream cheese
  • Gouda
  • Mozzarella
  • Roquefort and other Blue cheeses
  • Swiss

Combining a diet that restricts your intake of calories along with exercise is the fastest way to lose weight. Atkins does provide a fast way to lose weight. Atkins high in protein content leads to appetite suppression and the diet itself offers a disciplined way of eating. But as with any diet, be sure to check with your doctor first.

My biggest problem is snacks at night time. What are some good snacks besides meat and cheese?

Everyone wants to lose weight fast, but it's a better idea to set realistic goals. I don't know how much time you have to lose your 50 pounds, but average weight loss is ½ to 2 lbs. per week. At the start of a diet, it may be more. But it will take time to lose 50 pounds, just like it took time to put the weight on.

The secret to losing weight is to stick to your diet plan. Trying to lose weight on your own can be difficult at the best of times, but when you have a lot of weight to lose it helps to have medical supervision or supervised weight loss programs that provide group support. Research has proven that obese patients are more successful at improving their eating and exercise habits when they receive proper advice and encouragement.

wish me luck.. about 4 years ago I lost 160 lbs & kept it off but put back on 40 lbs now Iam having problem to get it off....
