Hi Linda,
That's a good questions. Wheat can be problematic for a many people who suffer with GERD. Many times the sauce on the pasta is blamed when its really the wheat in the pasta.

You are right. Each person is an unique individual and should learn to pay attention to their body's reaction to foods. Talking things over with your doctor will also help to bring understanding to what diet is best for your condition. Thanks for sharing here at LoveToKnow Diet!
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladI find that oily and fried foods and citrus juices cause a big problem but interestingly I have never had reflux problems related to spicy foods such as curry - most types of which seem to settle my stomach, if anything. I think that the imbalances which cause GERD vary from person to person and it is important to take note of what causes you problems and be strict in avoiding those foods.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know you find LoveToKnow Diet helpful. Be sure your brother checks with his doctor, too, as his doctor will know his individual medical history.
