How I Lost 180 Pounds….And Then Another 30

One of the best kept secrets in the dieting world is that when you get rid of an unwanted amount of weight, the rest melts away almost effortlessly.

I had no idea that leaving a very unhappy marriage would have the unexpected bonus of weight loss. My ex probably weighed about 180 pounds when we separated, and I weighed 170 pounds.

And a Year Later

Within a year of being single, I had an amazing figure -- one that I hadn’t had since my early twenties. I attribute the change to pure happiness. I lost 30 pounds without dieting.

Stress and Fat

R2Good

There is scientific evidence that stress makes us fat. We have a chemical reaction to stress that encourages fat cells to grow, especially in the waist area. My best diet tip is for people to work on creating the happiest and most stress free lifestyle they can imagine. Once you are living the life you yearn for, the chemicals in your body change and the fat disappears. If you notice yourself “stuck” or paralyzed with indecision, draw upon your reserves of courage and make a change. The biggest rewards come from taking the biggest risks.
