July 21 Day Challenge

by Donna S. on July 05, 2009

The 21 Day Challenge is designed to help you set goals and develop healthy habits. Research shows that it takes 21 days to cultivate a habit. This can help you break a habit or build a new one. Whether you want to lose weight, maintain your weight, learn to exercise regularly or just eat healthier, this is a great opportunity that can work as a springboard to get you started.

Last month we had a small group that experienced successes and learned more about themselves. The good thing is that it doesn't matter what diet your using, how much weight you have to lose, or if you don't have any weight to lose. This challenge works for everyone because it's a place to verbalize your goals, and others are there to help spur you on and even pick you up if you miss the target.

If you are interested in participating, all you have to do is visit the 21 Day Challenge thread on the diet forums. Go to the last page of the forum for the most current posts or take time to read through some of the interaction between members for a bit of inspiration.

Last month I wasn't mentally ready to make a commitment, but I joined the June Challenge and it made a difference. It got me heading back to healthier habits like drinking water, exercise and making better food choices. The practice put me on the right track and this month I'm feeling much more motivated. I'll be posting my goals tomorrow and hope to see you there!
