Insatiable Cravings and Diet

The biggest culprits when it comes to food cravings are sugar, carbs, or alcohol. The thing is that most of these insatiable cravings are the result of hormonal imbalances which are brought about because of poor nutrition.
For example, if you find yourself hankering for a snack in the afternoon, you may crave chocolate, other candy, chips, cookies, or some other carb-loaded treat. After you eat it you could kick yourself, but nothing could stop you mid snack.
Here's the good news. It's not always a lack of willpower that causes these insatiable cravings, and there is a way to curb them! In fact, I've changed the food I'm eating and have found I'm not a binge eater after all!

In fact, I've changed the food I'm eating and have found I'm not a binge eater after all! I'm eating more fat in my diet and am amazed that I'm losing weight and don't have the cravings. In fact, I learned that a low-fat diet can make cravings worse because a low-fat, high-carb diet can make us insulin resistant, or at least partially so and insulin is what maintains our blood sugar levels. What happens when we are insulin resistant is that our bodies stop responding to insulin and instead takes hold of every calorie and stores it as fat! That's why we can eat less and still gain weight. The cravings result from the fact that our cells can't absorb the glucose they need. They send a message to the brain that says, "you need more carbs," and that's when you find yourself heading to the kitchen to satisfy those insatiable cravings. A
